L.Abby Houston
SENIOR CO-CHAIR
L. Abby Houston is the Digital Initiatives Librarian at Hutchins Library of Berea College and co-creator of the bell hooks digital archive. She holds a Master of Library & Information Science and a Master of Arts in Art History from Syracuse University. Her research and teaching engage with digital humanities, information and media literacy, and trauma-informed care in academic libraries, special collections, and archives.

Danielle Reay
JUNIOR CO-CHAIR
Danielle Reay is the Digital Initiatives Manager and Librarian at Drew University. She Co-Directs Drew's Center for Digital Humanities Pedagogy and Scholarship and serves as an adjunct instructor in the Humanities and Art History departments. She holds a BA in History from Drew University, a MA in Cinema Studies from NYU, and a MLIS with a concentration in Digital Libraries from Rutgers University.

Ying Hu
CURRICULUM SPECIALIST
Ying Hu is the Repository Services Librarian at the University of Missouri Libraries, where she manages the university’s institutional repository and its digital library. She specializes in digital curation, metadata standards, and repository workflows that support open access and scholarly communication. She attended SEI in 2024. She is passionate about mentoring, supporting colleagues and emerging professionals. She holds a B. A. and a M. A. in Art History and a MLIS from University of Missouri.

Kate Thornhill
ADVISORY PAST CHAIR
Kate Thornhill is the Public Scholarship Librarian at the University of Oregon Libraries and Library and Information Science Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver where she teaches Digital Libraries. She holds a BA in Art History and BFA in Photography from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and MS in Library and Information Science from Simmons University. Kate attended SEI in 2013 and taught as a faculty member in 2016

Chelcie Juliet Rowell
GLAM Skills Research Fellow
Chelcie Rowell’s career throughline is making digital special collections findable and usable for the purposes of scholarship, teaching, learning, artistic practice, and personal use. They currently serve as Associate Head of Digital Collections Discovery at Harvard Library.
